Time: Time seems to pass really fast when you enjoy what you are doing, and as slow as molasses in January when you don't like what you're doing. I guess time is always against you in a way. I wonder why time can't just work with you.
Silence: is silence a sound that we have over the years adapted to make it nothing, what if we once heard silence as a noise instead of nothing. like if silence was a sound that we knew like the sound an elephant?

Scary garden story
In the garden , it was after midnight there was a rustling noise like the scream of my sister coming from in the sheed and a giant monster around 600 pounds , was leaning against the door. I ran inside of my house. I looked by the window and notice that the monster was just my sister, playing among the cabbages.

see how easy it is to fool a king responce
When friar Montecinos said “See how easy it is to fool a king”, after giving sermons that angers the town people ,I thought that he meant to anger them and provoke them to the point in which they would send him back to Spain. And in Spain Friar montecinos has all of his belongings, and he can go back to Spain and be happy as well as telling the people that it is wrong to do harm to the Indians.

Glow sticks:
Glow sticks are fun toys that glow in the dark and are often used at party or celebration. My Experiences with glow sticks are not the best; they always break when I crack them and stain my clothes, so I avoid them as much as I can.Homework:
I think that homework is unnecessary, we do work in class so why do extra work at home.I think it is a waste of intelligence to redo things you have already done. so all in all homework is a waste.

The Nectarine
The Nectarine
I am at my grandma’s house, visiting her for the summer. This is the house I have lived in for half of my life, maybe a little more. Visiting this house is like visiting a friend or family member that you haven’t seen for years. Walking through the all too familiar kitchen, I see nectarines. I grab one and a knife and go into the living room. I hear my cousins upstairs making a racket. I hear them arguing at the top of the stairs about who will go down the stairs first. Quickly, before my cousins come, I cut the nectarine, so that my cousins can not have any. In my haste to cut the nectarine, I accidentally cut my finger with the knife. My cousins come down the stairs and call my aunt who is watching us. My aunt starts freaking out about my bleeding finger, and finally she puts a bandage on it after I complain about it hurting. After we all settled down and I stopped bleeding, we went out to ice cream.Tuesday, 17 September 2013
Poem for two voices
Columbus

Together
|
Taino People
|
I want gold
|
We want freedom
|
I want prosperity
|
I want servants
|
We both have religion
|
I want peace
|
I believe everyone has a proper place
|
we both have society
|
I believe that everyone is equal
|
I see medieval Spain
|
We both have a community
|
I see lush wildlife
|
I wish I could bring back gold to pay off my debt
|
We both dream of freedom
|
I wish we could live in peace forever
|
I wonder how people can live so primitively
|
We are both curious
|
I wonder how they can make such big canoes
|
I use currency to buy food
|
We both use our resources
|
I gather fruits and berries
|
I live in medieval Europe
|
We both have a home
|
I live on an island in the Philippines
|
I feel that it is right to look down on people
|
We both have opinions
|
All people should be equal
|
We take what we want
|
We both survive
|
We should give before taking

Birthdays & half birthdays:
I like birthdays but I think it is weird when someone says, for instance “i'm twelve and a half” you don't have a half birthday, i mean it would be awesome if you did but you don't.
Sisters:
I have a sister, I don't like her that much. She is a little sister, and she is annoying. She is always yelling when she could be talking and singing imaginary songs, but the worst part is she is argumentative. very argumentative. But their again i'm a little sister too.

Morning Girl Free Response
Morning Girl Free Response
The book Morning Girl is an interesting view on how the taino people lived. the author Michael Dorris describes how a two tiano siblings live in a two different worlds, morning lives for the morning and star boy lives in the night.
I thought the book Morning Girl was good but not the best, he could have been more descriptive . like when star boy forgot to pull the canoe so far up that it wouldn't wash away. you had no idea what was going on until five or six pages later. or when the baby sister died , how did she die , why did she die, when did she die?
Other than that the book was a good read and I would recommend it as a historic novel
Nature name
my nature name would be parrot girl, because i am bright and colorful. also there known to talk back.

Jo’s Abstract Noun Poem
the poem was good, and filled with imagery. the feeling that i get when i read this poem is , that you are a fugitive and you're running from the truth. and you've finally realized that you can't outrun the truth. you just want to be normal and have a joyous life like the people around you.
the only suggestion to make it better is in the third stanza in the line”I would rather be the saver not the hurter”for the word saver you could have put savior and the word hurter could be replaced with the villain.

it lost its beautiful power

Abstract noun poem
I have watched the creeping tendrils of darkness
closing in on a helpless little bird
the crumpled heap
lying on the pavement flat on its back
I have heard the piercing cry of fear
the spine chilling wind whispering around me
reminding me of the things i am trying to forget
spoken in a voice that is never heard
it is only heard by the sorrowful
I have seen the crimson leaf turn brown
watching its brothers lying on the ground
all alone
and go to join them
only to see, before falling
them to get crushed
so he lay there all alone
like he's brothers before him
waiting to be crushed

this
poem has lots of great rhymes and repetition. shel silverstein is truly
a great poet and can internally rhyme and in my opinion is very hard as
well as getting to a point where it makes sense and is well written and
fun this poem where the sidewalk ends by shel silverstein is about how
he knows where the sidewalk ends and how bad it is everywhere else
because it is not the same. some examples are the line when he writes
“Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black “as well as “And
the dark street winds and bends”. and so concludes my response☻

this
poem tells a story about childhood and how it affects life as a
whole.this poem “the forest of my hair” by James tolan is about a man
that remembers i can state this because there is proof:I have lived most
of my life
in the absence of that
gentle voice, and those
woods of mine were clear-cut
years ago, but my hair,
I wear it long in honor of him.

poem response#1
In my perspective this poem The road not taken by Robert frost means, every day things can affect our entire life. For instance say you decided to go and get a milkshake instead of a smoothie that might be better because the smoothie place would have given you a poisoned smoothie, for an odd reason. so in certain circumstances you could make one little mistake and not even notice.

Enders game final
The book Enders game is one of my favorite books. The plot of the story is so unique, you just don't find it that often. The most interesting part is the way in the end Endre is the one who is killing the buggers the he learned from. We took an assessment on the book. The First statement was “Lying is justifiable if it's for the greater good.”I ranked it a two out of five at first. Their I read further into the book, I realized that it was justifiable most of the time. If they had not lied to ender and told Ender the truth he would not have killed the buggers. The next state bent is “Sometimes violence is the only way to solve a problem.”Before I read the book I put a one. I still would say the same thing even though Ender used violence more than once to solve a problem. In the book a boy named Stilson tries kill,. Ender is provoked and accidentally kills stilson. Ender also ends up killing a boy named Bonzo in self defense. He is not happy when they tell him that he killed the two boys. The next statement is “It is okay to kill someone in self-defense.”I put a one before reading the book but my answer is still the same.as i reiterate myself from the last statement violance is not good in any way, self defense or to solve a problem. But that is enough time spent on that subject. at the end of the book the buggers have built a place ender remembers a place were he killed a giant. the giants drink is one of the most dredfull games they have and you die every time, umless your Ender wiggin. Ender beat the game by burroing into the giants eye. the giant died and ender got to pas that part into fairy land. he soon found a playground and all the children who were there were bigger than him. he tried to play on the structure's but was to small to do them. he decided to go to the forest and the children followed and turned into wolves and ate him. he quicly out smarted them and went to I the ehd of the world. he has many trajitys there and finds that the way to succed is to love more rather than to kill. Anaways the buggers build the game and ender follows the path, but there are no wolf children and no dangers almost like the buggers want him to succeed and in the tower he is so fond of he findes an egg with a bugger queen inside it. to me this means that they personaly want ender to carry on there duty of recolonization.and young ender becomes the speker for the dead through the telopath connection between him and the queen.

Enders game questions #12-15
Chapter 12 – Bonzo
1. How did Ender provoke Bonzo? How did Bonzo respond?
Ender provoked bonzo by violating a direct order and saving the day.
2. Who was Stilson? Why was Ender thinking of him?
Stilson was a boy who Ender killed(Ender doesn't know he killed Stilson or Bonzo )and he had the same hollo look that stilson had in his eyes.
3. Why does Ender still expect help from the teachers?
Because he doesn't know how relentlessly they are isolating him and they ney bonzo would be destroyed.
4. Did you know Stilson and Bonzo were dead? Find the specific clues in this chapter about the deaths.
In the beginning General Pace and Colonel Graff are talking about how Ender can handle it he's done it before.
5. Was Ender justified? Why did they not tell him of the deaths?
he was justified, and they didn't tell him of the deaths because he would most predictably shut out the world.
Chapter 13 – Valentine
1. “Perhaps it is impossible to wear an identity without becoming what you pretend to be.” Explain what this quote means. State an example of this idea.
Valentine is saying this because she is starting to like this person demosthenes and it is hard for her not to think about things in his perspective.
2. Is it a natural, “good” instinct for humans to be killers? (survival of the fittest)
well, yes and no. Because if you don't need to kill to survive then you shouldn't kill.
3. Discuss the conversation between Ender and Valentine on the raft. What does Ender reveal about himself and his enemies?
That he has to hurt them so bad they can not hurt him again.
4. Discuss Valentine’s conflicting thoughts about her brothers. How have Peter and Ender’s roles shifted? How does Valentine feel about each?

5. Discuss Graff’s statements about why the war with the Buggers was inevitable.

Ender feels that Eros’s proportions are off then he finds out that it is a bugger colonie. he feels that there are keeping too much from him and should tell him the truth.
2. Describe how Mazer is going to be the only teacher Ender has ever had?
Because he is the only one who is smarter than him, so therefore he is he's teacher.
3. Why had Mazer been dishonest with Ender? Do you think Ender could have
handled the truth?
He did not tell him because he would not be able to handle the truth, because he likes buggers without knowing it.
4. Have they pushed the children too far? Was it worth it?
yes they pushed their way to far and it was worth it.
5. Is genocide, or in the case of Ender's Game where an entire alien race is
annihilated, xenocide, ever justified? Was the xenocide of the Buggers inevitable? Why?
Because they're not human so they don't get human rights.
Chapter 15 – Speaker for the Dead
1. Valentine said, “Nobody controls his own life, Ender. The best you can do is choose to fill the roles given to you by good people, by people who love you.” After what has happened in Ender’s life, what would he think of this statement?
that he would rather like the path Valentine is giving to him rather than Graffs option.
2. Ender listens to the evidence about the deaths of Stilson and Bonzo. What is Ender’s opinion about the deaths?
That he is a cold blooded killer that should be in jail.
3. Why did Valentine make sure that Ender could never return to earth?
Because she knew that he never wanted to be appraised for murdering an entire spices.
4. What is ironic about Valentine’s statement about Peter saving millions of lives?
Peter is the one trying to save every one noot valentine.
5. What knowledge did Ender gain the enabled him to write The Hive-Queen? Give specific details.
He had played this game in battle school and the buggers made the game on their planet for him to find and he found a empty space and there was a telepathic bugger that could talk to ender.
6. Why does Ender publish the book using the pseudonym “Speaker for the Dead” and not his own name?
Because he was too famous and everyone would call him a bugger lover and knov that he was tricked into killing the buggers.

Drones
Drones
Drones were not invented for violence
not for killing or death
just for epionage
not for war
Drones are so despicable
for all they do is kill
nothing good can come from death
Drones kill what they're told
you and your family are not safe
until you prove your innocence
when you act suspicious you could be stalked
Flying above you unwatched
Then your shot!
take it to court
you can't prove any thing
not a scar not a scrach
your unharmed
Drones were not invented for violence
